3 DESERT BIOMES - FAUNA AND FLORA

LEARNING INTENTIONS

1) Read through the powerpoint slides of a case study on desert  biomes and understand the adaptations specific to fauna and flora in this habitat. 

SUCCESS CRITERIA:

1) Students will be able to identify with examples specific adaptations that allow plants and animals to survive in the desert environment (AC9S5U01).

2) Students can apply their understanding through brainstorming their ideas and applying this knowledge to other plant and animal examples. 

ACTIVITY:

1) Go through the powerpoint slides below, make notes in your own words and complete the brainstorming activity using the information from the slide, or research your own examples and brainstorm your ideas in the padlet. 






Once you have gone through the powerpoint slide answer the focus question below in the padelt. 

Use the green plus "+" in the circle, in the bottom right corner to add your comments. 

I have started the brainstorming discussion below, you will need to brainstorm other adaptations that help animals and plants survive in the desert environment. 

You may wish to go back and view the previous tabs for more information, or do some research of your own.
